Sand Hills Resort Policies
The following policies are current. Please call with any questions or needed clarifications.
Tax Information:
6% sales tax; 2% travel tax
Fees:
$8.95 Processing Fee per lot for online or 24/7 call center reservations.
Reservations made through the Sand Hills Rent Management, LLC at the following phone number (208) 624-4127 will not incur the processing fee.
Deposit Policy:
100% at time of booking reservation.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made prior to 30 days of arrival date will receive a refund of all but 20% of the total booking cost. There are no refunds or adjustments for late arrivals, early departures or insufficient notice of rescheduling. Also, there are no refunds if the reservation is cancelled 30 days or less before the arrival date. However, we do have a rescheduling policy if notified at least 1 week prior to the reserved date. All rescheduling must be made within the same calendar year.
Additonal Rules, Procedures, and Policies
- Register before parking.
- Each moving vehicle must obtain a "gate pass" before entering the park. Each site rental includes one gate pass. Additional or lost gate passes may be purchased for $10.00 per stay. The gate pass is for your use only. Giving out the gate code or opening the gate for anyone not registered (this includes your family and friends) will result in your eviction.
- Place gate pass in lower driver's side windshield.
- Each site rental includes occupancy for one sleeping unit. Any tents, trailers, etc. that sleep additional people (space permitted), will be required to pay a $10.00 per night fee.
- NO ATV's, gas cans or rugs on grass for any reason.
- NO smoking in public buildings.
- No pets are allowed in public buildings, including the office. Pets must be on a leash at all times. Owners must clean up after pets. Please keep your pet from doing damage to lawn, water outlets, or other people's property. Annoying, barking, or vicious pets will not be tolerated. Pets will be charged $10.00 per pet per stay. Please tell us if you have a pet with you.
- Quiet hours from 10PM to 8AM, strictly enforced.
- Speed limit 5 MPH through resort, ride your ATV's from your campsite to the sand and back only. No riding around park, no dust, no wheelies. This causes damage to the road base and is annoying to other guests.
- Restrooms and showers are provided for tenants only. No hair dyeing, no dishes, no mechanical parts or animal washing in sinks or showers.
- Check-in after 3:00 PM (unless the watering is finished, then it may be as early as 1:00), checkout by 11:00 AM or earlier.
- Extensions: If you wish to stay another day please re-register before 11 am. Depending on reservations, you may be asked to move to another site. All late check-outs will be charged accordingly.
- Use playground at your own risk.
- Minimum purchase of $10.00 to use your credit card.
- Please turn off your yard lights before going to bed.
- If you are parked on the hill, please use steps provided to go to and from your campsite, the restrooms and the office.
- Campfires are OK, keep them away from the grass, do not dig a hole, do not pile up rocks, do not put anything in it that will not burn, do not cover it with sand to put it out.
- Please put trash and garbage in the dumpsters provided.
- Night riding is not allowed.
Privacy Policies:
Sand Hills Resort takes every precaution to protect our www.thesandhillsresort.com website and the customer's information. When customers submit sensitive information via website, your information is protected both online and off-line.
When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information, (such as credit card number and/or social security number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to unlocked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a reservations specialist) are granted access to personally identifiable information. ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers' information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure, locked environment. We guarantee that with each purchase you make any personal information you provide is secure. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank can not hold you liable for more than $50 of fraudulent charges. In the unlikely event that you are subject to fraudulent charges as a result of making a reservation at www.thesandhillsresort.com we will cover your liability up to $50. This applies ONLY if the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted through no fault of your own while using Butte War Bonnet Hotels secure server, and providing that you notified your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
Our www.thesandhillsresort.com secure server uses the latest industry standard encryption software (SSL) to protect your personal information. It encrypts all of your personal information including credit card number, name and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the internet. You will know that your connection becomes secure during the checkout process by seeing the "S" for "secure" in HTTPS://... in your browser's address block.
